Just a note to say that I'm very excited about the reunion-it will great to see everyone. I tried to reserve the pavalion( they only have one) at Monument Valley Park but it was not available. Thought about trying another location but, after speaking with Carol, decided to go with Monument as it was the sight of every get together. We can put up a canopy for shade. Someone will need to be at the park as early as possible to get a spot-I'll be happy to do that.
Thanks to Carol & Mike for the idea of getting together.

ReplyDeleteAnd I guess we could put it over a table, but that won't seat many people. I don't have any card tables or folding chairs, so if everyone who's driving here could bring that sort of thing, that would be great.
And y'all let me know if you need ideas for places to stay, if the Clarion Hotel doesn't work out.
We could also think about other things to do around here before that Sunday afternoon. I love playing tour guide!

Erma found a place in Colorado Springs that rents tents. They have one that is 20'X 20' that rents for $275. Me, and my son-in-law, Rick and his 2 sons can pick it up Saturday the 25th and set up early the 26th. The price seem kinda high, but the city of Colorado Springs wont allow a tent to be set up using stakes. The tent we are considering has a frame that doesn't need stakes, hence it costs more. If we all chipped in on the cost, it shouldn't be a hardship on anyone. Let me know what you think of this idea.
